Answered By Bella Zalini, Editor You should get the exact measurements of your window using a steel ruler to know the accurate blind size appropriate for your window. The measurements can either be inside or outside mount. Inside or recessed mount are hanging blinds inside the window frame for a neater and finished outlook without hiding wood trim. Outside mount of blinds are installing blinds outside the window opening either on the wood trim, above or on either side of the wood trim. If you want to install your blinds directly to the window frame then get the exact wood frame measurements from the outer edge to another outer edge. Measure the exact height starting from top outer edge of the trim to the top of the windowsill or to targeted length extension of the blinds.
